Chiara is a freelance editor, writer and award-winning journalist.

I’m Scottish and based in London. I worked at Time Out for four years until July 2025, most recently as Deputy Editor, where I commissioned features, interviewed cover stars and created compelling social content. For my work at Time Out, I was selected as one of the PPA’s 30 Under 30 winners and was shortlisted for Best Features Writer at the BSME Talent Awards.

I’ve also written for titles including The Guardian, The Observer, Vogue, Vice and Dazed – and for brands like Selfridges, Uber Eats and Sky. I’ve hosted talks, appeared as an expert voice on podcasts and BBC radio and been a nominator for the BRITs Rising Star award.

As a journalist, I’ve written everything from celebrity profiles to cultural trend reports, op-eds, restaurant reviews and long-read investigations.

Take a look at some of my portfolio highlights here.

I’m available for freelance writing and editing commissions, copywriting, speaking engagements, as well as work in social media strategy, editorial and brand consultancy.

As an editor at Time Out, I worked behind the scenes with talented writers, photographers, art directors, videographers and social media experts to create quality digital content which generated millions of views and got people talking.

From Apple News and Google Search to TikTok, Instagram, WhatsApp channels and email newsletters, I’m skilled at telling original stories to grow audiences across platforms.

From vox-popping strangers in the street to speaking about Brat summer on BBC radio and presenting snappy short-form videos, I’ve also spent time behind the mic. I have my finger on the pulse when it comes to social and video trends and I’m skilled at using data and audience insights to inform strategy.
